The vision of Fairhaven House is to provide a clean and sober living environment for individuals recovering from substance abuse or other addictive behavior. Fairhaven House believes in not only providing a safe and healthy environment for recovery, but to help individuals work through the root issues behind their addictions.
Goals
Provide a stable environment of love, encouragement, purity, and discipline
Help members obtain and sustain a consistent form of education and employment until they are prepared to transition back into society more independently, where they can become responsible citizens and positive contributors to our communities. (We understand some individuals have disabilities that prevent them from working. They also are able to be a member of Fairhaven House and to walk in sobriety instead of 'self medicating'.)
Disciple individuals who desire to know and follow Jesus Christ. (Fairhaven House is a faith-based program but does not require members to have any kind of religious affiliation.)
Help members in discovering areas in which they can serve.
Function
At Fairhaven, we seek to accomplish the following with our members whom we serve:
Provide low-cost housing with utilities included. Laundry service is available at no extra charge.
Hold weekly group meetings pertaining to sobriety and recovery.
Pray regularly with and for our members.
Teach and help members learn how to transition into independent living and effectively live and work with others. We accomplish this by program guidelines, a structured environment, an atmosphere of respect and honor, and by applying principles that will help individuals to grow spiritually.
Encourage 12-step meetings, church attendance, and sponsorship/mentorship support to help meet their spiritual and emotional needs.
Connect members to outside support services, treatment facilities, and counseling if needed.

Dues are
subject to change.
Fairhaven House has a zero tolerance regarding the possession and/or use of alcohol, drugs, viewing pornography, or gambling on/off the premises. Smoking is not allowed on the premises. (Individuals may smoke off the premises.)
Fairhaven House has a midnight curfew. Otherwise individuals may come and go as they desire. After the first 30 days, individuals may leave the premises up to 48 hrs with prior approval.
We have a gentleman who has not stop drinking for over a year but has stopped smoking for the last 10 months.
We have a gentleman who was living on the streets and did not take a bath for a year before he went into treatment and moved into Fairhaven. He has been clean for over a year and is now a house manager.
We have a gentleman who has had multitudes of DUIs that has been clean for almost two years and is now a house manager.
We have a gentleman who would go commercial fishing and spend all his earnings on alcohol for several years. Last year he moved into the house, went commercial fishing, and has moved back into the house. He is shown us much gratitude for having the chance to live at Fairhaven.
We have a gentleman that went to treatment for the first time even though he has been an alcoholic for years. He has only been clean for around 3-1/2 months but is doing very well. He has had many challenges since his sobriety but he has handled quite well. Because of his work skills he has helped the owner of the houses to obtain more work which has brought income to the houses.
We have two gentlemen that just moved into one our houses and said the main reason is that they need the accountability. When it is there they stay sober. They are hoping to live at the house for at least a year so they can get their lives stabilized.
We have a drug addict who has been living at one of the houses for almost two years. He is strong in his sobriety and has been a sponsor to many men and devotes his time in helping others.
Have we had men relapse, sad to say yes. That comes with this ministry. But we focus on the ones that make it.
